The first night she spent in Niko's crate since I wasnt sure she was litter trained, the second I let her be free and she slept curled up on my chest, and nowwww.... every. single. night. She sleeps with Niko. What am I? chop liver???

Lolz! She still loves to cuddle but if Niko sleeps in his crate, she sleeps in the crate. If Niko sleeps at the end of my bed, she sleeps at the end of my bed. ♥♥

I bought her the little kitty perch/tower and moved her food to the top of it. She likes the crinkle bag I also bought but so far doesnt like the cat house. What can I do besides feed her on the top of it and play with her on it (i have her chase a cat teaser toy onto it) to make her like it more?

I just got it today... did I waste my money or does it take cats a while to like "new" things?? She didnt like the cat crate so I thought she would love this.

She does LOVE the crinkle bag though!

Gah! The pictures of the kitty with your dog are painfully cute. It's awesome how much they love each other.

It definitely takes my cat a while to warm up to things. We have this weird fireplace - the previous owners drywalled over it for some strange reason. When I first saw it, I thought it would be the perfect kitty hideout. I put a bed in there and waited. Nothing. Finally got rid of the cat bed and started storing our sofa blankets in there. Nearly a year passed, but now she sleeps on top of the blankets in there! So, yeah, let her just warm up to it.

Yep, it can take them awhile to decide to use something. Playing with her around it and encouraging her to climb it should help. Also make sure that it is sturdy and doesn't rock. If she hits it at a dead run and it feel like it's going to topple over with her, or it does topple over she'll likely never use it again.

Pirate was never much for climbing, but he loved sleeping in hidey holes. His two favorite places was the bottom crate of my crate shelves, and the laundry basket in the closet. Jersey also loved to sleep in small tight spaces and I had an extra large box that I decided to fix up as an indoor dog house for her complete with dog bed, she never used it. I left it be for weeks figuring that she just had to warm up to in and one day I looked over and saw Pirate had decided it made a nice cat house after that Pirate included it in his places to lounge. The weird thing was that Pirate would sleep one place for days or weeks then suddenly stop and I'd not see him sleeping there for months on end.

it is not wobbly and is wedged in the corner so there is no way she could knock it over. I will keep trying.

And my gawd is she getting a little belly!!

-Free feeding as much dry food as she wants (about 1/4 cup per day) and giving her a good size scoop of wet each night and a tiny bit in the mornings. Yesterday and today she got some chicken and roast!

Awww she's precious.

I swear I just LOVE her coloration and patterns. There's something about the "wild type" tabby that's just beautiful. Tuffy is similar, but has less gold. When I took him into the vet, they were gushing over how handsome he is lol.
