I've been reading this forum on and off seeing people with such a huge love for their canine family members.
We just lost our 6 years old our Golden Doodle Monty. He had what started off a a bump on his cheek that grew larger over a months time. We had the cells tested which proved to be cancer growing on the slide under the microscope. So crazy fast and in good health except for his upper right jaw.
Monty was a Wackodoodle, truly in every sense of the word. He was the best toy that my wife ever bought me. He from a puppy connected like a shadow to our grandson who was 2 at the time, they were inseparable from playing in the sand to drinking from the water hose together. He loved water whether puddles, Lake Superior, the Atlantic or any lake at a campground when he could dark away and take off.
He and I would play so hard, we'd play tug with toys until my arms would fall off or he'd get tired. Radishes, cucumber, carrots any fruit or veggies were our go to nibbles for play time breaks. Monty would look at the fridge or counter top and bark as he wanted something. He had me trained very well. I've never had a dog that would growl like a big dog while I've got my fingers trying to pull out a kong. "What big teeth you've got A*&hole" We knew each other's limits from years of dog wresting & playing. Our favorite winding down activity would be intense Monty rubbing, from his head to his tail until he was just a puddle dog laying on the floor. I always tried to overwhelm his mind with love & kindness.
So many family videos of Monty running along the beach and being with everyone in the family everywhere. Going to miss you Mr. Mont, you better be ready to play when it's my turn up there. Love ya.
