With Satchmo, I got 'basset hound' when he was 6 weeks old from my mother, and at the feed store it was 'bloodhound'.

For Molly, people are easy to point out that she is a Purebred GSD. She is Black and Tan, but sometimes I get asked if she is mixed, because she has a curly tail. Her tail is down sometimes. But most of the time its curled. I will get asked if she is mixed with Husky, or even Coyote. People also ask me if she is a police dog, as if its an actual breed.

As for Tanner, he was listed as a GSD Mix at the shelter. But he is a purebred Black GSD. His tail is also curled sometimes, and his coat is rather "plush" but the plush coat is normal in the GSD breed. But I get asked if he is a wolf dog, pure wolf, malamute mix, or even bear.lol. I think very few people have actually gotten Tanner's breed right. Once I was walking Tanner and on the side of the street a young girl was walker her White GSD, and saw me and Tanner. We all stopped and she said "Your dog is my dog's twin, but black!" and we both laughed.lol

But then there are times when people are too scared to even come close to find out, especially with Tanner. When I walk him at night all they see is this big black shape walking towards them. ROFL!
