Omg so cute!!! I just read your other thread about how you found her...What a shame somebody would do that. It's amazing how good of cats they can be after going through traumatic ordeals. My best cat (Tigger's cat) is one that was emaciated and crawled it's way into the engine compartment of my car for a 100 mile drive.

Here is Tigger's kitty! The last photo is a crappy phone pic of him just after I found him. Doesn't really show how skinny he was.

 

Soooo cute! I wish I wasn't allergic to cats. I'm glad Acorn and Niko get along so well, they're so sweet together!

It's cool how her and Tuffy look similar. She's more brownish though while Tuffy is more black/grey. I love the "wild type" looking cats

 

Acorn is so cute!! I love the pics of her with Niko. She looks almost exactly like my cat Lilly when Lilly was a kitten. :-D

Oh my gosh, she is so cute and I LOVE that your pets already love each other! Also, I must say it's funny that just a couple of days ago you weren't even a cat person, and now look at you! And all the cat toys and furniture already taking over your house! Love it. Her chin looks so much better already!

 

I can see only the last set of pics, the ones you reposted. Acorn is adorable!!! And from the look of things, I would say that she is living the life of a princess!

Niko and Acorn hves made a deal. You can sleep in my crate if you stay to one side...


I figured out the reason she didnt like the top of the crate so much was that it wasnt as soft as inside the crate (niko has a crate pad, bed, and fleece blanket in there). She always wanted to sleep on top of her scratching post, on my bed or in Niko's crate.



These 2 crack me up!!




Solution? Make the top of the crate more comfy! I had this piece laying around to made a dog bed for Niko out of it but it fits the top of the crate almost perfect, so instead of just a fleece blanket (not very soft or cushy) she now has this:











I got her metal dishes instead of the plastic and now have enough toys so that I can rotate them for her each week. I plan to buy a small kitty tree house/perch as well and replace the cat crate with a perch.

 

These two are so cute together... ♥

Cuddle buddies!

I love that second pic, it looks like Niko is saying, "Ha, Ha, she loves me more!"

 

She does too! *pouts*

The first night she spent in Niko's crate since I wasnt sure she was litter trained, the second I let her be free and she slept curled up on my chest, and nowwww.... every. single. night. She sleeps with Niko. What am I? chop liver???

Lolz! She still loves to cuddle but if Niko sleeps in his crate, she sleeps in the crate. If Niko sleeps at the end of my bed, she sleeps at the end of my bed. ♥♥

I bought her the little kitty perch/tower and moved her food to the top of it. She likes the crinkle bag I also bought but so far doesnt like the cat house. What can I do besides feed her on the top of it and play with her on it (i have her chase a cat teaser toy onto it) to make her like it more?

I just got it today... did I waste my money or does it take cats a while to like "new" things?? She didnt like the cat crate so I thought she would love this.

She does LOVE the crinkle bag though!

 

Gah! The pictures of the kitty with your dog are painfully cute. It's awesome how much they love each other.

It definitely takes my cat a while to warm up to things. We have this weird fireplace - the previous owners drywalled over it for some strange reason. When I first saw it, I thought it would be the perfect kitty hideout. I put a bed in there and waited. Nothing. Finally got rid of the cat bed and started storing our sofa blankets in there. Nearly a year passed, but now she sleeps on top of the blankets in there! So, yeah, let her just warm up to it.
