Cool beans

But yeah, at day three they shouldnt be able to see each other yet imo. Depends on the cat. The less tolerant of dogs the cat is, the longer til the intro imo

Ive been lucky, never had a cat attack or swat a dog in anger. I think my cats are broken

Just to update since it's being passed around for other poor cat dog folks. Zoey and Ben still have issues. Mind you it's the darn cat that causes most of the issues. Zoey wants to come in to the kitchen but Ben is sitting on the dining room chair, hisses and zoey won't walk past because Ben is a mean SOB and will attack if she walks past. They are working it out. Zoey has pretty much stopped chasing staring ect... As long as I make sure she has had enough mental and physical work....

I'm where I was hoping to be. Ben can sleep on the back of the couch while Zoey sleeps at the other end( only if I'm in the middle) or Ben couch cat tree ect... Zoey floor with toy/chewie

I have had Bentley for about a month now, Jasmin likes him but I am well aware that if he gives her one wrong bark she will snap at him and there could be blood shed. Pepper still only comes around if Bentley is in the crate, that is when he eats and uses his litter and then he sits with us.. he will not come downstairs if Bentley is playful, I think it will work itself out though, I think he just needs time as he is a skittish cat by nature. Jasmin just knows she is top dog and feels like she knows how to put the other animal in their place if they doubt her top notch stance in the house. Bentley has had a swat that sent him yelping once or twice with the cats but he is learning the boundaries.

hope it works out for you. I wouldn't ever expect them to be best friends but the goal should be for them to be able to co exist with out wanting to kill each other.

I have 3 cats and a cattle dog mix named Zoe. LOL The cats came BEFORE the dog. My orange boy, Hurley had the worst problem with the dog. The two girls didn't seem to care about her one way or the other. Hurley would hiss and throw a fit whenever the dog went near him. That lasted about a month or so and then he got over himself and he now rubs on the dog.

I wouldn't allow the dog to chase the cat but the other interactions I would let them work out on their own. Do not leave them together unsupervised until they are more settled with each other. It just takes time. Eventually they may become friends. :D Good luck!
