Should we keep him??

The management company started trapping cats last week around here.... Apparently a few litters of kittens were left behind. One teeny black and white baby was found Friday... We took him in, cleaned him up and got him some milk replacer before rehoming him. Then today this little guy was caught. We volunteered to find him a home. I had to go buy more supplies for this guy- but I'm not sure we should rehome him!! He's so cute. I haven't had cats in 15 or so years and it would be kept inside. I HATE litter and kitties scratching furniture. I'm debating what to do right now. My husband is fine with the idea....this guy is so fluffy it's hard to capture on film.... He is soft as a bunny too!
Ughhhh........ Cuteness. Overload.

I love that coloring. Reminds me of our old cat.

How are your pups doing with him?

Also, ditto the scratch post or ramp looking thing--should solve the problem of furniture. In the last 15 years, while you've been catless, the cat supply market has really expanded. :) You've got lots of options for toys, even interactive food toys like they make for dogs.

Kitty stays. We literally had to run out the door a few hours ago to avoid a tornado and the kitty and puppies were all I brought along. We were hit with hail bigger than golf balls ( I got video)....when I stepped outside to check the damage... I saw two tornados maybe a mile away..... We drove like crazy people. The kitty and puppies slept together peacefully in the truck.
Our house needs a lot of repair work.. And I think our vehicles will get totaled out by the insurance company due to the extreme hail damage. "Tornado" the kitty has a new home with us! I can't upload pics because of the weak internet service right now... Maybe in the morning.
Talk about a crazy day... We were the lucky ones. Please say a prayer for the other people that were not so lucky.

Truck window damage, well some of it-
Tornado is a still very scared of us. He was crying this morning so I brought him to bed.... And he peeeeed! I spent the last hour cleaning my expensive mattress. Lesson learned. Back into the bathroom he went. I think in a few days he will be fine.
He will be getting fixed ( now that I'm thinking of pee) ASAP. I may as well stop him from spraying before it happens.
I'll definitely be checking out the new kitty toys and scratching posts.
My husband said we should get him declawed. I told him no way! We simply can't ensure that he never becomes an outside kitty. Cats live a long time and a lot can go wrong in those years.

Tornado will never get declawed. I just can't accept the idea of taking away their safety. He gets along well with one of our pups. His crying is awful though! If I'm not holding him, he's crying. I take it back...if he's in the puppy "play pen" he's quiet, but I can't supervise them all day.

Tornado is beautiful. If he has siamese in him he will vocalize a lot! But as he gets older it will become just "talking" to you, lol, not meowing constantly. What a social little fella he is! They will become inseparable and you'll have more great photo ops! Thanks for these pics!
