Short-eared beagle?

I have a 3 month old beagle, his name's Trevor. I've seen a lot of other photos of beagles, and mine has shorter ears compared to the "standard" ones. I read somewhere it could be due to poor breeding practices. Anyone's beagle looked like my pup at this age? What do they look like all grown up? Not that it matters, just curious.

This thread is old, but I’ll still put in my 2 cents. I agree that these ears look normal. I’m not a show dog guy, but my last 2 beagles have come from the guy who owned Uno, the 2008 best in show at Westminster. I recently asked him why my current beagle’s ears look shorter now (21 months old) than when she was 3-4 months old. She had those really long, floppy ears that were crazy cute. He said that the head and body start growing faster than the ears, so the ears appear shorter. I would swear they really are shorter, but that wouldn’t make sense, I seriously doubt they have shrunk 😛. She’s still the most gorgeous dog I’ve ever had. After all, she comes from the Lanbur bloodline.
