Search dogs at Oso landslide

Search dogs have been invaluable in locating bodies at the landslide north of me. There are 10-20 dogs there every day working the slide. I've always been fascinated by the ability of dogs to do this work. This is a really rough, never-ending job as this article and the photographs explain:

I'm also amazed at how well these dogs are able to do the work that they do. I work in a thrift store in Everett and we had some people in buying clothes to donate to those displaced, boots for the searchers, and they even bought jackets from the pet section for the dogs!

I live about 80 miles from there,so I've been keeping a track on it. Haven't seen this article yet though,I have a great respect for those dogs.
