This little cat is soo sweet!!...but sorry I have no idea about cat breeds!!

 

Lol me either and I'm not too creative so I have no idea what to name her lol But she is a real sweetie! I don't know how my frind gave her up I wouldn't be able to :'( But I felt bad because when she dropped her off she gave the cat a kiss and was like bye baby. I felt bad but the cat seems pretty happy... Does anyone have any advice on litter box training?? She said she just couldn't seem to litter train them so she's like 4 mo old and not litter trained :'(

 

that's odd. usually the momma cat will teach babies to use he litter box for the most part. she looks soo adorable though there is something called dr. elsey's cat attractant litter, look for that to see if that will encourage her to use her box. Also, feliway spray is similar to a calming pheromone a mother will give off to her babies and using that as directed sometimes can help unwanted urination. using a really good enzyme cleaner made for pets and cleaning pee pee areas well as deep as possible may make her not use the spot she smells her pee in again. It may sound gross, but if she poops out of her box put the poop back in her box to show "that is where the poop goes". also make sure you get a urine and stool sample to the vet to be sure a urinary tract infection or parasites isn't causing her to pee and poop out of the box. you might want to get more than one litter pan and place it in various places in the house in case she can't make it to one fast enough, she has an alternative to use.

Yeah she's a butt hole lol yeah when i had kittens they all used the litter box but no she has to be all complicated lol Yeah when i spot her using the floor as her litter tray i put he in the litter box thats not a bad thing is it??? like it doesn't make her not want to go in there right??? onder:

THIS. Its very likely shes got a UTI. The only reasons I know of a cat will not use a box is a UTI, recent declaw, or painful bowel movements UTIs are VERY common in cats...if she is prone to them, you may want to switch to canned food only, with cranberry added.

Well the thing is the girl that i got her from just didn't care about her not using the cat box all her cats just did what they wanted to do.. She won't even use the cat box when she has to go poop.. I just don't think she knows what to do with it... But I'll make sure to ask the vet when we take her

 

I think you are doing the correct thing by placing her in the box as soon as you see her about to do something. Why would the other owner not care where she went bathroom... that's gross..:-/

 

Yeah it is!! When she told me that I was like... Soo you don't care if she goes on your cloths??? Idk thats why i think she just doesn't like the feeling of the cat litter but I may be wrong? Before I got her she was like I hope it doesn't have any broken ribs and I was like whaaaaatttttt and she was like yeah my brother kicks it and throws it against the walls..... He brother is like 18 i feel soo bad for her she had awful fleas(almost gone) she has tape worm(getting de-wormer tomorrow didn't find out till about 4 hours ago) poor lil thing but shes a sweet heart and just loves everyone all she wants is love :'(

 

Well good new!!! She's litter box trained!!! It took a lot of scrubbing of the carpet but it was worth it now she uses the litter box!!!!! I'm soo happy!!!!

I'm soo proud of her she went from not knowing what to do... From going in the cat box just 3 days later She still runs after she uses the cat box cuz she thinks she's gonna get kicked for going to the bath room(which is what they boy did when he found her peeing) so she is still a lil scared when she pees/poos so i'm trying to feed her treats after wards just so she knows not to be scared

Yeah I felt soo bad for her i mean the girl loved her cats which is why she gave them up. She felt bad for them for always getting kicked and thrown she's such a sweet heart though

 

Maybe that is why she said she didn't care that the cat went anywhere, so it could a least have a chance to go to the bathroom or something...

 

Yeah i felt bad for her. She just wants someone to love! And to love her back! And she gets plenty love here Yeah I'm happy I got her luckly she didn't have her first heat yet cuz if she did they were prob just gonna let her have babies with one of her brothers Atleast that is what she said. Idk what to belive anymore she told me 1.) she wasn't sick 2.) she didn't have any worms 3.) she didn't have fleas well guess what 1.) she has a cold keeping a eye on it to make sure it doesn't turn in to a uri 2.) she has tape worms and 3.) she had like 200+ fleas and was extremely anemic the vet said if she didn't get rid of the fleas with in a few weeks she was gonna need to prob get a blood transfusion there were that many! So we are gonna schedule her spay next app to make sure the tape worms are gone i have only had her for like 2-3 days and already spent well over 150$ or stuff(litter food ect.) and her vet bill, her worming stuff, flea bath stuff, flea powder and frontline good thing I had some extra $ saved up if tater got sick but now my bank account is back down to 0

 

if u catch her place her in the box and add more than one box around the house, and u have to take a sample to the vet, cats are clean and not using the litter box could be a sign of stress or sickness
about the breed im not sure but her ears r kinda big like a maincoons how old is she? they do go through a "big ears" time like human teenagers noses lol

Lol She is around 4-6 months Thanks I'm soo happy too and all her worms are gone now all thats left is the spay I'm aiming for late October or early November I just hope they are free around then

 

Congrats on your new cat! She is a beautiful tortie color! I would say she is just an American short hair. I hope all is well with your new baby
