Is what I'm feeding okay?

So my vet asked me what I feed my cat. I said Taste Of The Wild dry food.

He told me to switch her to wet food if TOTW has a wet food, but I would rather not because that can easily get expensive.

Is it really necessary to switch her to wet food or is the dry food okay?

My cats are 19 and 16 years old and have been on dry food all of their lives. You have to make sure that their is always fresh water available. I have one of those water circulators for my cat dish to make sure the water is always fresh, it has a filter. Keeping them hydrated is a problem because cats don't seem to drink that much water. The Drinkwell encourages them to drink plenty of fresh water

yes evenutally i'll be getting one of those fountains. I just wanna get my pet deposit paid first since they are pretty expensive. Even with my petsmart discount it's still a good $30.

I'm always catching her drinking water from our dribbling faucet, i didn't think it had anything to do with what she was eating just thought she preferred drinking from running water than a bowl.

I was told that dry food is harder for her to digest because they don't chew their food :/.

Cat's by their nature, dont usually drink water, they get their water from their "wet" food,if you only feed dry food you should take extra care that their is ALWAYS fresh water.Even then cats are sometimes reluctant to drink from it. Water goes "off" within a few days depending on the climate.
