So she only wants to get one if she can bottle feed it?What if she can't,does she still want one?Kinda strange.

 

I think they may just be trying to target where they can help most-experience bottle feeding and enjoyment from knowing she's helping could be a factor. It's easier for other kittens to get adopted, so she's targeting one that would be more difficult. I don't really find this odd, but of course you'd want to do a home visit etc first and see what in-person vibes you get.

 

I may be naive, but I just read it as someone who wants to help an unwanted kitten & then adopt it??? She did try to explain her reasons, she didn't sound nuts to me. It's no different to someone who prefers to adopt an oldie (dogs or cats)

 

I think it's odd that she put out a CL ad. I would think she could have contacted a rescue or shelter to see if they have any kittens who need help. I don't think she has some hidden reason I just think it's odd how she is going about it.

 

Shelters usually have tons of bottle babies that need fosters. This ad is odd to me and makes my suspicious antennae vibrate. Maybe I shouldn't have read the recent news story about the woman who was making crush videos with puppies and kittens.

 

I think it is super odd. I am going to guess that she feels it will cause a stronger bond. She may not mean any harm to the kitten then but I would be wary that she may do other things that are not in the best interest for the cat because of her emotional state of being.

I feel bad for bringing it up. I'm sorry. There are some things that it's probably best never knowing about and this is one of them.
