Is this flea dirt on my cat?

I found this on my parents' cat while brushing her. I only found it on her back near her tail. Both of their cats wear Frontline, but they do wander in tall grass quite a bit. She doesn't itch and nobody has seen any fleas at all, but I don't know what else it might be. Sorry if the picture quality isn't the best...



Also, a picture of the beautiful, happy kitty after her brush :)

Yep it's flea dirt. Is it possible that the frontline works, but just takes long enough that they have time to leave dirt? Or does she definitely have fleas and I just can't find them? Nobody has actually seen a flea around here in probably 8 months.
