Just wanted to introduce myself, ( eyes are bad today, so if typos, please be gentle, lol)

I'm a forced retire psych nurse( leg amputation 8 yrs ago) now a FT grad student, caring for my 22 yr old daughter with DownSyndrome/brain inflammation that caused regression and Autistic traits, and I write FT, published author, and ALOT of works getting ready to go out. I've worked with animals, primarily horses, since 12, with a local vet. Trained dogs before K9 training and cats, yes, they often need training.
Working with the challenged communities, humans, and learned ALOT,to help animals and with animals I learned creative ways to work with humans. I love helping people help themselves and their pets. and as a FT author, I can be very creative in many fields.
I love Art, but I'm no artist, and doing crafts lately, including created PRODUCTS with Original designs. I have full grown sons and daughters, raised my me, and a great family who helped often. Being a counselor for challenged persons made me a staunch Advocate and having children who have Indigenous blood, upped my level of Advocacy for our First Nations People.
I'm a True Crime Junkie, ( I write in thriller, horror genres mostly) and an insomniac,( the only time I can write, when pets and daughter are asleep)
A L. I. NYer for eternity but reside in NC,... CA for 30 yrs..Horses are my biggest worry, as our Wild Horses are being taken from Their Land and corraled waiting slaughter in Mexico/Canada.
I'm here to make a difference where it's needed, for the better, and I don't quit. I appreciate everyone here and protecting our pets, others pets and pets who have nobody..as well as our children, will always be my goal. Being kinder is not hard, it's free, and needed desperately todayšŸ’• + šŸŽ¶ šŸŽµ šŸŽ¶ is truly our universal language to connect with each other.

Welcome. You have quite the resume and one heck of a fighting spirit. I hate that horses, which actually evolved in North America and were still present on this continent when humans first arrived, are now treated as an invasive species and exterminated. In some places equines are actually a very interesting part of the local ecosystem. They will scent underground water seeps and dig down to get to get to it, creating a water hole that benefits other animals.
