Hello,

I made a thread a few weeks back about getting Bruce a cat companion. I ended up adopting a cat from a rescue about a week ago. They get along great!

I am having trouble renaming the cat. His current name is Cloud but he does not respond to it and I would like to change it. He is independent but very affectionate. He is vocal and playful but laid back at the same time. He is very go with the flow. He rubs on Bruce until he gets too rough and then gives him a smack, but never runs away. He is brave and well adjusted, especially considering the previous life he has lived.

I love the name Hugh but am unsure about how Bruce would respond to a name that sounds so similiar to his own, so I am staying away from that. I like human names for animals but would consider others. Names of past animals I have had are Simon, Homer, and Penelope if that helps at all.

Anyway, here is a picture of the new cat. Any name suggestions?

I agree he looks too dignified to be called cloud. What about George? or Admiral Nelson he was a very famous british admiral in the napoleonic wars.

Byron after the poet Lord Byron who wrote the poem in my signature.

He is so beautiful! I like Archie, Monty, Arthur. My friends late cat, pure white like yours, was called Persil (after the washing powder that 'make your whites even whiter!' :D. ) Whatever you choose, remember cats tend to take longer to respond to their names than dogs do :)
