I have a 2 year old lab who has always been very quiet, is well trained and in the evenings just chills out and goes to sleep and isn't bothered by any noises. But for the last few weeks, he has become very barky in the evenings. He could be fast asleep then wake up barking if theres the quitest noise outside. Even if I don't hear any noises he will jump up and start barking. And its getting worse lately. When it started a few weeks ago it would be maybe once every few days, but now its every evening.
Why is he doing this and how can I stop it? What should I do when he starts doing this?
