Cat left behind

My daughter had her back door of her car open moving things over to her boyfriends car when she looked back and seen a cat laying in her back seat. They did not want to just put the cat out because they live on a busy street. They took the cat in and started advertising around to find the owner. She went to the SPCA to see if anyone was looking for their cat. She took the cat to the vet to see if it had a chip which it did not. The vet told her that the only thing she could do is take it to the SPCA and hope that the owner comes. She did not want to do that so kept the cat. I told her to not get too attached incase the owner came forward.

A week later she was looking in the ads to see if anyone was looking for a missing cat. There was not; however, there was an ad for someone looking to give the cat away free with a picture of this cat! They lived in the apartment building next to her.

My suspicion is that they had to move out by the end of June, she found the cat on July 9 and it was pretty hungry, so they left it behind. Who does that????!!

Luckily, the cat has now found a loving home!

People in general suck. There are very few of us that undertake and stand by the responsibility of having pets. I see it with parrots all the time. People get them as chicks and then sell them off after a few years. Like i said...people suck.

People are mainly just cold hearted critters. Would they leave their kids behind, probably if they could get away with it.
It was tried here in NJ, and the guy got away with it for 6 mos or so, so it just doesn't surprise me anymore.
Bstards!
