big neck, little head problem

I think the harness will be ok. My two dogs always used collars until I have a scary accident happen because of the collar, so I then switched to harness' and they're both fine with them. I think they're more comfortable for the dog and you have more control over them when walking.

The only confusion they have is when it's time to leash up. The expect it to go around their neck so push their head through when I hold it up hee hee hee so cute! Now though, Bessie has figured it out and puts her paws up for me to put it on but Rosie just spins round in circles and the lies down with excitment.

I've always preferred harnesses anyway because I know for sure she can't slip out of them and I don't worry about her choking herself or getting hung up.

I agree they do seem more comfortable with the dog as well. Belle hates walking by collar but when I have her on her harness she seems real excited to go :)
Yes, choking thing is a massive factor. A few months ago I had an incident where I was holding my dog by the collar and she twisted around quickly meaning my fingers were stuck tight and she was choking. It all happened so quickly and it was terrifying. I managed to finally get my fingers out, causing tissue damage to my finger just seconds from her dying, she had already passed out. Thank God above that she came round and has been fine. Since then though, I'd never, ever, ever have another collar.

I know this is silly and just my weird mind working but I feel like it's more respectful to the dog to have a harness, a collar seems degrading lol I'm odd, I know!

I'm glad he likes his new harness, Tozie.

For quickness I put Rosie on my lap, sitting up so her two paws are sticking out and slip it over her front legs but if you're dog is big you can't do that lol I think you can probably train her to put her paws up for you.
