As Amo is getting older I'm getting more and more random people asking if he's got any wolf. And if I socialize him enough.
No, he's a white German shepherd. This is clearly a dog.
People recognize my dog when I take him out, I don't need rumors. As a matter of fact he's extremely well socialized.
It's not cool to just say my dog is wolf, and then on top of that ask how well I'm taking care of him. Ugh.

Once Dexter went up to a guy to say hi and he ask "how much attention does he get?" Excuse me? All of it? He's not happy to see you because we ignore him all day, he's just happy.

There's my rant XD

That's like saying "oh cute! Ones aggressive and the other is neglected right?" Yeah I commented on my own post but I'm still thinking about it ugh
I love white GSDs, such pretty dogs. People just have weird opinions sometimes and seem to be very vocal when it comes to dogs. I've been told Echo is aggressive when her whole body is wagging and close to the ground in an appeasing stance.
Jadeofeye,

YOU are letting people have too much power over you. Why are you putting any store by their words? Ignore them, and learn to not let other people put you in a tizzy.
@Jadeofeye - Everyone is an expert. :p I can't tell you the number of arguments I've been in telling me that Heidi is a Bernese Mountain Dog. See avatar. She is the ugliest Berner I've ever seen. :p
I think he looks more like a cow than a wolf lol I swear he even moos sometimes. See if I can straight face a "cattle hybrid"

Ugh, yes, you will find many people have their opinions. A stranger was adamant that my dog was a pitbull mix. Err, yeah, see my avatar pic, Lol.

I have a friend who has a very friendly bernese mountain dog, and a stranger had said the same thing to her!! The stranger said something like "Your dog needs more attention at home". My friend didn't say anything to him, but she was upset. Yeah, people have a lot of "opinions", and best to just shrug it off at the end of the day.
Oh yeah the comments we get!

Zody is known around the apartment complex as a barker, and as being unfriendly. I accept that because I know it's true, but it really got under my skin when I was standing with him chatting with one of my neighbors, Zody on his leash beside me, and she turned and told her friend who was visiting that Zody was vicious. Uh, excuse me? No he's not. Best part was that Zody was just wandering beside me sniffing the ground not barking or growling at either of them, he was perfectly behaved. I swear that it took everything in her to not say, "Yeah, well both your dogs are massively overweight!" Sadly I wouldn't have been exaggerating if I had told her that. I was good though, I just smiled and let Zody's behavior speak for itself.
Just so you don't feel alone - one thing that people say to me that irks me:

My boy is part hound, so his eyes and face often have a bit of a droopy look. There are people who comment "Oh, he looks sad" "He is unhappy" when all he is doing is resting or getting a little tired. He is a happy boy who gets to go hiking, frolic in mountain streams, run agility, play with other dogs, gets treats etc. I know I take it too personally, but shouldn't...
I wish more people read this. If my big scary puppy (I've had people flee from him!) is a wolf, he's the worst one I've even seen lol I still think he'd make an excellent cow though
amo

On the other hand Amo got some special treatment at the vet because of his appearance. We went to a vet clinic and as the vets walked by I could hear them saying things like "now THATS my kind of dog" etc and one of them dug through the pile and called us before our turn because he just wanted to treat Amo :) he's a star there

I'd also just like to clarify my dog is NOT wolf in any way, at all.

I've never had anyone insisting that any of my dogs was a wolf or a hybrid but while walking our Tervueren I got asked once if she was a wolf dog and another time if she was a wolf. One of those inquirers was drunk and the others were teens and might have asked that as a joke. I told them that she is a dog.

And once I had let her off-leash when it was already dark. The path joined a road and I, assuming there would be no one because it was so late, let her run ahead freely. Unseen to me was a woman who was standing down the road, saw the dog but not me. So suddenly the Tervueren walks into the circle enlighted by a street light and stops there waiting for me. The light distorts the colors so the woman likely saw just a canine of dark or undefined color.

She told me that for a second she was scared that there was a wolf 50 m away from her. She was relieved when she found out the "wolf" was accompanied by a human and she realised it was just a dog.

Here is our Tervueren. She was the most beautiful dog we have ever had. Alva is pretty too, but all collies are.

Argh! All these beautiful pics a setting off my puppy wants. Echo just got manageable, I could totally handle another pup right?

Raising two sibling puppies together is very hard. Raising an older puppy or dog with a new puppy is work, but manageable.
I have 3 and they play with each other, which is good because as a senior I can't run like they can. Even in a small back yard they have a great time. (I only walk 2 of them though).
So if you have time, energy, and the money for vet costs and shots and whatnot, I say go for it.

@Chas - I always vote for more puppies. ;) We got Heidi when Levi was just shy of a year old.
