that doesn't make sense, since the Great Dane isn't Danish.Halifax,for me, only conjures up one thing, Halifax NS so it is a lot more 'heavy handed' for a NSDTR. Kind of like naming your Great Dane Copenhagen
I just wanted to chime in and say I think Hixlafa is an amazing sounding nameI personally would rather chose a symbol for the region than a geographical name but if I had to chose from the two name I'd take Halifax.
You could also play around with the letters and syllables:
Filaxha, Alixfah Hixlafa...
Argyle is two syllables. Ar GyleHal-i-fax and Arg-y-le have the same amount of syllables...so I don't see how that's a determining factor between the two choices. I also don't think 3 syllables is overly long for a dog's name.
