I have never owned a cat before and am considering getting a non-dog pet in the next few years since my girl is older and a puppy or a dog may be too energetic for her. She's lived with a free-range rabbit in her younger years and while she chases animals outside of the house, she is docile inside and I have tested her with a friend's cat and she didn't seem to mind. Sure, she pointed and then poked the cat but she ended up grabbing her toy and made me throw the ball for her. After that, she tried to play with the cat a few times (play bow, wagging tell, etc...) but quit when the cat didn't seem interested. As for learning about cats, I have no idea where to even start since I've never had one before so any advice is appreciated.
