Hi I found this under my dogs ear today. It looks swollen and hurts her. Does anyone know what this could be. I’ve already called her vet but she said she wouldn’t be able to see her until Tuesday.

Here it is eenlarged and maybe @agility collie mom can chime in. To my completely untrained eye, it looks like a large raw spot under the fur.

Do you have clippers? If you can clip the hair away from the wound so that you can see it better, clean with a mild antibacterial soap (flap only) and dry well. Hair removal will allow air in to help with the healing process until you see your vet.. Does the dog have a history of ear infections? (might be self-inflicted by scratching that ear if it is infected) Skin problems?
