I was wondering what breeds all the dog people on this forum see in my little Dexter.

This is him:

This is how his coat looked like the day I got him

Yes his energy level is pretty high :D
He also runs after every living animal he sees.
And he's a very good runner and jumper
I'm 1.78m tall (5' 10") and he can jump so high that he can look me in the eye

He hates water and rain and absolutely loves sand :D
He also spends a lot of time with his nose to the ground and is very alert to sounds and movement.

Definitely some kind of terrier in there I'd say! Is his coat course or soft?

My first thought: Jack Russell Terrier / Daschund mix.

I was thinking something short legged myself, but corgi rather than doxie. Are his legs short for his body? It kinda looks that way in the pics.

yes his legs are a bit shorter compared to his body, and his front legs are shorter than his rear legs.

His coat is very thick with a course top (longer hairs) and a very thick and soft undercoat he also has grey spots in his undercoat above his front and rear legs and on the sides of his neck under his ears. I found those when he was trimmed very short. And on his head behind and in between his ears he has red/brown undercoat hair

:D I'm getting the same breed guesses here as on the dutch dog forums :p

they guessed these breeds mixed in different combinations.

Dachshund/Wirehaired doxie
Corgi
Collie
Border Collie
Jack Russell Terrier
Lancashire Heeler
Miniature Pinscher

I have a Wisdom Panel DNA test here that I want to send next week :D
