Hi everyone,
I am Mana, a newbie here.
I noticed this on my 14 month old lab's nose yesterday. This is some sort of skin condition and I am pretty sure happened in few days or less. Any ideas what it might be? He has a vet appointment in 14 days but I am not sure if I should leave it till then. Anyone seen this on their pup before?

It could be a bite, or a sting, or even just a pimple but we can’t really tell. With things like this, I usually do what I would do if I found something similar on myself - I don’t rush to the doctor with every lump or bump but if it doesn’t go away, or gets worse, that’s when I’d look for professional advice.

Thank you very much Joanne. I thought it is a bite too but then saw the 3 little red spots on the other side and panicked haha. You are right. I think I will keep an eye on that and see how it goes.

Good luck. 👍 I’m following to see if you get any replies. 🤞the waiting is hard. We have an appointment as well but it’s strangely busy at the vet. Lol. 2 weeks seems like years. 😬

does he dig and bury things with his nose?
No just sniffing around usually. The pink dots on the other side of his nose are looking worse today so I might get an antiseptic cream from pet store in case it is ringworm...

If it is ringworm (and I am not saying it is, I didn't think that) antiseptic won't clear it, but please be very careful what you use there as it's going to be very easily licked.

I don't hurry to the specialist with each knot or knock however assuming it doesn't disappear, or deteriorates, that is the point at which I'd search for proficient counsel.
