I can't give a top four might be able to give you a top 40... I love them all
my top breeds for my next dog (if i don't get a rescue mutt) which therefore are not only my favourites but also fit my experience and lifestyle, I love lots of other breeds that don't fit my lifestyle though, are...
I'd rather say what my dream pack would be if I could retire somewhere with lots of land-
American Staffordshire
American bulldog
Carolina Dog
West Highland Terrier
Corgi
Beagle
Pug
If you just want purebreds, I'll leave out cockapoos from my list. But they would be #1. Otherwise, in no particular order:
-American Pit Bull Terriers
-Australian Shepherds
-Cocker Spaniels
-And since I can't choose just one, I'm just going to say most of the toy breeds- Pugs, Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas, Coton de Tulears, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, etc.
I know the number was four, but here are some runner ups that I just couldn't leave out.
-Bernese Mountain Dog
-Kooikerhondje (although I've never met one in real life and may never since they're so rare in the US)
-Bulldogs
-Great Danes
-Border Collies
-Standard Poodles
-American Eskimo Dogs
Basically, anything that's intelligent with a crap ton of energy is right up my alley! Belgium Malinois almost made that list as well, as did the Australian shepherd and the Queensland/cattle dog
1) Dogo Argentino (I will own one, one day!! lol)
2) Brazillian Mastiff/Fila Brasileiro
3) American Pit Bull Terrier
4) Doberman
I admit, my tops list changes frequently, but I've loved Dogos for years. Also, I will probably never own any of these breeds--I'm not skilled enough at training
Goodness, where to even begin!!
1. Catahoula Leopard dog- catahoula leopard dog - oh, I repeated myself, lol.
2. Between Aussie and Dachshund!
3. Cattle dog/ heelers
4. Any kind of spaniel! Just met a beagle/cavalier today and OMG....i want one, two three of those! Sweetest disposition ever!!!!
Bonus!
#5 Miniature Poodles have really been growing on me lately...
