West indian lantana and dogs

My dog is obsessed with the flower called west Indian lantana which I've read is quite toxic for them so i don't give it to him.... But i couldn't find anything about it being addictive because he goes crazy for it every time he sees it.... So anyone knows anything about whether the flower is addictive for dogs?
