Looks like Acana is going completely grain free. They're changing the regular line to a "heritage" line which is all the regular formula but with the grains substituted for peas and lentils. I don't mind this, but then my dog is great on grain free formulas. For those of you that feed grain inclusive formulas of Acana, I figured you should get a heads up (if you don't subscribe to the Facebook for Champion, that is). Tomorrow they drop the official news. I've been told by a rep that they have no current plan to modify the Regionals formulas.

I will also note it looks like Acana will be getting it's own line of treats:

So, even though Canada's Acana Regionals aren't being changed, I should mention that in the US things look to be swapped around. It looks like Champion is changing their Regionals to reflect the new kitchens opening in the US, though the rep I have been in contact with say the should be similar to the Canadian original formulations, but changed to reflect their new sources. So any members here that are in the states watch out for the changes! Here's the american version of the site:
ACANA Dog & Cat Foods | Award-Winning Kitchens

Wild Prarie will be Meadowlands, Pacifica will be Wild Atlantic, and Ranchlands will be Appalachian Ranch.

The new heritage foods will be:
FREE-RUN POULTRY
FRESHWATER FISH
HERITAGE MEATS

Which kinda peeves me that there's going to be an additional "fish" food for the americans and not available to Canadians :(. It does look all around that Acana has added more meats to all of their foods and are limiting carbs by removing potatoes from every line. Not sure if the changes will make much affect, but everyone should be aware just in case ;)
