Yesterday was the 1 month mark from Astro's surgery to try to remove the tumor and the 1 month mark from when we found out about it really being a nasal tumor. Up until last Thursday, he was doing really well - running an playing with Mia and barking up a storm. Unfortunately, he took the turn for the worst.
Today we had to make the difficult decision to let Astro go. =( The vet thinks that his nasal tumor spread and there wasn't much more we could do for him that we haven't tried. My husband and I were with him and loving on him as we said goodbye.
I am sad because I miss him but I know that he is in a better place and he will be watching over us and waiting for us to join him. He will be waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.
Now we are focused on helping our other dog Mia through this.
Thank you all for all the prayers and support. It has meant a lot to me.
