So, my mom and I volunteer with a local rescue, and fell in love with one of the dogs we helped to transport and foster, and she is officially ours! Initially, they told us that she was a small beagle. She definitely looks really... beagle-y... but she doesn't look like she's all beagle. In the past few months, we've kind of been thinking she might be part dachshund, but her legs and build aren't quite right there either. She's fairly small, maybe a foot and a half long at most, weighed about 12 pounds when we got her, she's definitely been "loved" since then (probably about 15-17 now?). She's pretty lazy for the most part- loves to lay in the sun or in front of the heater, goes to bed early, sleeps past 9am. She gets crazy kicks, too- she gallops around the house full-speed and chases our other dog.

She's the redhead, posing here with her "brother", our first doggy who we know is some kind of papillon mix (not sure what with- if you have any suggestions on him, that would be good, too!)

If you have any ideas, let us know! We're planning on doing the Wisdom Panel closer to Christmas or so, but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on our little Ginger! (Or her brother Teddy, if you have any idea what he might be mixed with).

She looks like a Bassett Hound but less exaggerated, so maybe Beagle/ Basset.

there could be some Dackel in there but it could also be a teaspoon of terrier in the mix.
