My dog is a 5 year old female golden retriever she is not neutered but she also have never mated or, for the past couple of weeks she's been having a weird behavior, first time this ever happened she was puking and kept pacing around, tail tucked inside and seemed like she couldnt sit down or lay down comfortably, we took her to the vet he claimed that she has a fever and that this is a stomach infection, so he gave her antibiotics which worked...until this all of this happened again about a week later, again she took antibiotics then a week later it happened again...we took her to the vet he said that she doesnt have a fever and he was surprised also that this keeps happening...we ran a blood test for hyperthyroidism but it came back clear or natural...and the vet seemed like he didnt have any explanation for this to happen...now everyday this happens she would be normal and suddenly keep pacing around then start whining and sit uncomfortably and keep moving around, she is also panting and i suspect that she lost some weight and also drinks more than usual... at that state she is kind of not responsive and seems really uncomfortable i tried calming her down but it doesnt work...i dont think she is depressed or anything of that sort because she's always with us and nothing have changed in her life so she would be emotionally distressed... but again i have no idea what it is... her stomach isnt bloated, i press on it to see if it hurts her but nothing.she keeps doing that for a couple of minutes and then stops. i should also note that she seems to be less active and sleeps more...any help please what this could be or what should i do?

If you can, find out what vet specialist would be best for the symptoms she has (internal medicine?) and take her to see a specialist. Just like with people, there are vets for dogs that specialize in a specific field.

Look online and see if there is a vet specialist hospital near you. The ones that are in my area are open 24/7. Make sure it's a specialist hospital though, not just a vet hospital.

Keep us updated on what you find out. Best of luck in getting her better.

Is there loose poop aswel? Has your dog been wormed every few months with an all wormer? Is there anything rancid outdoors she may be eating? Do you make sure she doesnt eat poop? Is the water safe to drink? try filtered, purified or cooled boiled water. Always go to another vet if you dont get suffucient answers & the problems still ocurring. DOKTA healing tonic is very good for this type of thing. Its NZ made. (Its also online) If you cant get it, its water chamomile & marshmellow root & I'm sure you could make it. It will also treat fever- should it occur again. But you also need a vet to do some more tests to find the cause.

Another thing that can happen is dogs sometimes eat things they cant poop out & have an obstruction in there that isnt digestable. Just another thing to consider. On the vet show they found a toy car & a sock in their dogs tum with an x.ray.
