I have been watching lots of Zak George videos and have really gained confidence in my ability to train dogs (which I have yet to do). While dogs aren't little people in fur suits, it seems that their thought process and learning is remarkably similar to that of small human children. It seems that studies support this and the teaching methods and ways of thinking about how to teach a task is really really similar to my special education training with low functioning students. In order to further my competence I would like to read a book on training prior to getting my dog... which I'll likely get in 1.5 to 2 years. The philosophies and ways of thinking about things that Zak George teaches, sit well with me. Do you have a book recommendation that would fit in with what he teaches? Does he have a book?
