So a guy that my husband works with purchased some Sugar Gliders for his
daughter - who then (like kids do) did not take care of them.
He offered them to us - so we agreed to take them in! One is about 10 months old and the other is around a year old.
We have named them Tatl and Tael - so far they are not terribly impressed with us but I am sure I will win them over with some treats. They enjoyed licking a little bit of honey off of the back of my hand and both of them love meal worms.
Will try and get more and better pictures once they have settled in a little more!
They are really cute. I've never had sugar gliders, always wanted a couple though. I end up getting a short tailed possum years ago. Are they skittish at all?
@Rileysaur Yes! I am so glad someone got it @annageckos Right now they are pretty skittish. They have not been handled very much over the past few months. As they get to know me and start to bond I suspect they will calm down.
Few more pictures of the gliders! including a baby boy. They had been planning on keeping the boy they purchased a couple weeks ago but then decided not to and offered him to us as well. He is in a separate cage next to the girls until I can get him neutered. Then I will try and merge them!
Have not come up with an appropriate name for him yet. Possibly Claptrap after the robot from Borderlands 2.
