I have a beautiful new Goldendoodle puppy named "Baby" who I got when she was 14 weeks old. The breeder she came from had been holding her back for a couple who ended up backing out when the puppy was already 12 weeks old so she had very little socialization - I got her at 14 weeks old and now I believe she's very timid because of the lack of socialization during those important first weeks. She has started to warm up to us a little more every day and she loves our other 2 adult dogs however she is petrified of new people and the question I have is regarding leash training. She is so scared to have a leash put on her that she'll just stand there and refuse to move and even if I just gently grab her by the collar and try to guide her somewhere she'll just sit down and stick like concrete. Treats and sweet loving voices do not work. When she's like this she will refuse even treats (which she usually loves) so I know it's because she's scared but I don't know how to make it better for her. I need help. Also how do I get her to be more confident? My standard poodle was also very timid when I got her at 6 months old and then she did get much better but she's still very stranger weary. So I want to help them both with these issues. Thanx in advance.
