There's no way to play Pokemon Go with my dog, right?

Seems like a no but I thought maybe some folks here might be creative.

I've seen people who search for the creatures with their dogs (like, dog on a leash walking with them). Is that what you mean?
We took the dogs with us when we went to go walk around the park. Honestly I thought it made sense. There have been stories of people getting robbed because they are playing the game. If I have my dogs with me even if I don't see the person approaching, my dogs will. And who wants to rob a person that has 2 large dogs.

I see no reason why you couldn't. What am I missing here?
I mean one of the biggest issues I saw was that you have to pay attention to your dog as well, which can get difficult. I tried to have Forbes sit every time I stopped to catch something. It was pretty difficult because there were so many people around. Honestly it depends on the dog.
We take our puppy out to walk and play Pokemon Go all of the time. Sometimes she gets frustrated though when we have to stop and catch something and she just wants to go, go, go!
Hahah, my dog does the same thing. He jerks my arm and it's so hard to catch a pokemon.
