I breed and train GSD's and Labrador retrievers for service work, show, hunting, sporting or just plain pets! Today while i took one of my youngest to the marsh to do some bone hunting (sniffing out and locating animal bones and antler sheds) My dog took off on a scent. Following her on my GPS collar I expected her just to have located a small bone or two, but instead it was a dog curled into a ball freezing from the -30 whether, luckily she was a friendly dog and i was able to coax her into my house! After about an hour she was playing around just like any dog! She happen to be lucky to avoid frostbite and the many wolves and coyotes, since it was close to my trapline afterall!
After a quick phone call with the M4S wanting the 6 digit number on her tag, i was able to locate her owner and get the dog home in less then two hours!
