Sudden Drooling, A LOT of it

Last night my Dalmatian started drooling when we were eating dinner, I just thought it was because of the food. After we were done, he started making drool spots on the couch. I woke up and he made a bunch of drool puddles in his sleep and he kept drooling all day. We took him to the vet and they couldn't find anything wrong and said he might have eaten something he wasn't supposed to. He is still doing this 24 hours later and I'm starting to worry. The vet also said he's too old to be teething because he's 1 year and 3 months old. Has anybody else experienced anything like this?

Is there something stuck in his teeth/gum line/roof of mouth maybe?? Did he maybe get stung by a bee?
Any coughing or scratching at his face? Whining or seeming dopey/tired? How is his appetite?

Some things to have the vet re check/test for:
Bloat
Poison/plants like mushrooms in the yard? black walnut trees??
Snake/Spider bite
Epilepsy
Do you give rawhide or plastic chew toys to him? If he ate too much rawhide it could be dehydrating him (it sucks up water in the stomach and expands) make sure he is drinking lots of water... If he ate a part of a toy (go check them for cracks or chips missing) he could be having digestion problems and could even need surgery.

Let us know what the vet says/when he starts feeling better!
