Hello. I'm not looking for diagnoses or anything like that, (i plan on getting to the vet asap) maybe just some information. My dog has been having these strange bowel movements for a couple of days. I cant find any specific information for what may be the cause. She is acting totally normal in every other aspect, happy, energetic, eating normal, etc. So I just have no idea what this could be. Description: The feces is partially of normal color and texture, but there are large segments of orangish, incredibly dry and thin material (the orange almost seems to have white underneath?) Thanks for reading. Like I said she is going to get checked out very soon by a vet.

It's possible but unlikely as I am with her for most of the day and I haven't seen her eating anything that isn't her food. I will keep a closer eye on her, though

Hmm...maybe a couple of times? But i don't think anything she's managed to get out there would be enough for multiple bowel movements like this.

They are pretty sneaky and quick...LOL
I also noticed that the stool doesn't have a normal "tootsie roll" shape with those crevices.

I have 3 dogs and believe that I have seen that before. Whatever it was with mine was gone on in a few days and I have no idea which of mine pooped it.

Lol true! Yeah it is really bizarre looking. It almost looks like a paper towel? I'll have to keep an eye out for any random stuff ending up in my yard.

Toilet paper? I have a Golden that shreded and devoured TP when she was a puppy. To make it worse, that was at the time of the great TP shortage.😭

Probably not, as she isn't the type of dog that likes to rip stuff up. Plus I probably would have noticed the mess of paper. That's part of the reason why I'm so confused, as it's out of character for her to eat random things. Also oh no lol!! Maybe when she younger, but she's all grown up.

Looks like maybe she ate some paper towels or something. Maybe even part of a toy and she is pooping it out. Only thing I can think of, I had a pit mix that ate paper products a lot and sometimes her poop looked like that.

Looks to me like she got into trash and has eaten paper towels, tissues, or something similar. I used to see similar until I bought a lidded trash can for my bathroom.

Now that I look at it, it does look like paper, probably something more robust than TP like paper towel.
