My 8 year old Australian Labradoodle began having cycles where he would pant, pace, jump on and off furniture. Pupils were dilated and he would stay up at night. Blood tests were normal. Abdominal ultrasound shows growth on one of his adrenal glands. It appears localized without vascular invasion. These tumors are apparently rare and difficult to pin down in terms of cortical or medullary. Blood and urine samples are often inconclusive. I am told the standard of care is surgery but this can be dangerous. ACTH was normal. Urine for metanephrine is next and then probably a ct scan. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.
