Hello everyone, this is my first post and I am hoping for some positive info as to what is wrong with my sweet little dog. Her name is Chloe, she is a Shih Ttz/ Lhasa apsos mix who turned 10 years old this past May. Her health has been great and still is except she started in snoring and snorting about six months ago. She weighs 15 lbs and eats very healthy.
I took her to the vet where he had an x-ray with showed no blockage. The vet put her on an antibiotic and omeprazoel in case she had acid re flux but that didn't help. He then put her on Prednisone and that did not help either.
He said the next step should be to have her scoped to see if something is blocking her airway. We do not want to put her through that if we don't have to.
She runs and plays with the grand kids and go for long walks with no problems, its just when she sleeps or starts to relax.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hmm, heart or lung issues (such as bronchitis) developing and cancer are possibilities.

If you are.trying to avoid the scope, having a blood test ran first if you haven't already can help.point the direction if it might be a lung infection or certain kinds of cancers.
