Okay so I posted this as a comment on another thread, but I wanted to share it as it's own accomplishment. Look how Skippy is coming along! This was at a totally new place, totally equipment, with a tunnel way more bent than his normal practice tunnel, and a high A-Frame than he's used to. I'm proud of my little guy!
Add on: Yes, I am teaching him to look at me after every obstacle, although my trainer teaches against it. I'd much rather him take more time, look at me, and do the obstacle right rather than just dash off on his own or (as he is likely to do) go sniff something he catches wind of. He may be slower than the other dogs, but he'll do the obstacles right--I'm happy with that!! He's my very first agility dog, I don't need to win titles with him as long as we have fun.
