I have a 13 week old Beagle pup just shipped out from a rabbit hunter who kept his pups in an indoor/outdoor pen... problem is, this time of year in the breeder's neck of the woods, the grass is mostly dried out and this pup has a good layer of dirt caked on his underside.

He was bathed with TropiClean's Berry Clean the other day, but to say it did nothing would be an understatement. I was never very impressed with that brand, but thought I'd at least give it a try.

Any recommendations for a deep cleaning shampoo?

Dawn blue dish soap is safe to use on pets, but it dries their coat out like crazy so be sure to follow up with a good pet formulated conditioner or cream rinse afterwards.

This is a very good shampoo. I used it as a groomer. No soap or detergent in it so you can use it often if you need it, it won't dry out the coat. Smells great and works. Its concentrated so will last along time. You just add a little in another bottle and add water.
