Separating toes with pain

613 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  BarnesDobies
I have a 9 year old Doberman shepherd mix. About 6 months ago one toe on his front right foot decided it didn't want to hang with the group any more and started sticking out to the side a bit. It didn't seem to bother him and the bet didn't seem concerned. This morning he could barely make it down the stairs and I noticed now the toe on the opposite side of the same foot has done the same thing. He seems to be in a bit of pain in that foot though don't know if it's related to this toe thing. Has anyone experienced this before?

it looks like the issue is the joint in the ankle. He was tender on it this morning until he saw a squirell :eyeroll: I guess the toe separation is just coincidental that it is on the same foot
