Well... the obvious question is what did the vet say it was?
The usual suspects when you see skin irritations are fleas, mites, ticks, allergies or a bacterial/fungal infection. Sounds to me like the vet was covering her bases with an antibiotic and a fungal test. Those sound like logical steps to take to me. That said, I should stress that I am not a vet so you should trust your vet and ignore me.
The vet did not say, we are still waiting for fungal test results. They tested for bugs, mites, scabbies - nothing.
It's a mystery right now. Stopped giving her boiled chicken. Back to only the dog food, to rule out any diet allergies.
My dog had those when she was a puppy and it was an allergy. She was allergic to certain food once I switch the food ad got it out of her system it got better
