Our 8 yr old male Rottweiler had, what we thought was a hot spot on his back leg. We took him to the vet after he kept licking it which we were told turned into Acral Lick Granuloma. So we got the cone, antibiotics and a spray. Fast forward 5 months, multiple vet trips later and he now has a larger one, which looks infected, on the front paw and he’s had his whole body covered in bumps. We think it has to be way more than just lick granuloma since the ones all over his body bump up, crust and then puss at times... he hasn’t been able to reach anything because he’s worn his cone the whole time. The medicine doesn’t seem to be working and the vet continues to say it’s just hot spots. We are going to take him to another vet for a second opinion, but wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar situation.
