My dog is approximately 2 years old. The vet did not know what kind of dog he is . The dog warden called him a "spaniel mix" but he has the markings of a pointer and his body has the markings of a beagle only black and white. This dog must have been a stray for years because when I take him for walks he thinks it is smorgasborg time. He eats pebbles, sticks, worms, hunks of rotted food, garbage, fast food wrappers. I have tried the correction method Ceasar Milan talks about and it is not working. I am stopping on all walks to fish the foreign matter out of his mouth. He gets 2 meals a day and snacks. For the past two nights he runs out in the living room in the middle of the night and poops out a large amount of diarrhea, which is rather unpleasant and as I am renting I wish to not repeat this behavior again. I am fasting him and then feeding him pure pumpkin and rice beginning today. This dog has major separation anxiety. He will tear up my car if I leave him alone for 2 minutes. I don't think he has ever been associated with people or dogs. He is getting used to people and rather likes being petted. The crate has not been successful as of yet. He whines and tries to get out, he did get out the first time I put him in the crate and he jumped out a screened window and was running back and forth in front of our home when I returned. He jumped out of the car out of a tiny small crack and another time jumped out a screened window and disappeared for over 24 hours. I could not find him and I could not get him to come to me. The Humane society brought him back to me and he was thrilled to see me. I love this dog and am willing to invest the time in trying to bring him back to normal. He is on prozac and that is helping some. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I need help. He jumps on our walks and gets really excited. I am walking him 20 minutes 3 times a day. Thanks.

Hi, before I really get into this, the first thing that is bothering me, you say he is eating pebbles, and wrappers. This is dangerous stuff to any dog.
My neighbor lost her dog because of this, so talk to your vet about it.
