just searching around on youtube and i found some vids that might be useful for recall training :)


LOVE how the dogs she isn't training are so patient!


i love this dog! he is such a cutie...


this is sorta how clover is on off-leash walks, though he goes a bit further away, but comes back and checks in with me often :)


another great technique


always a good thing to have a super strong sort of emergency recall plan


these are just some ideas for how to work on recall training and some videos that i found, there are lots of others ways to train this, and more games you can play with your dog. IMO playing different types of games to reinforce the behavior is a really good idea/way to build a strong/reliable recall :)

i've done this quite a bit with clover, and when we are hiking, it is rare that he will go beyond visual contact with me, if he does, it has never been for very long. in fact when hiking with a group, he will try to keep visual contact with everyone in the group, but if i lag behind or go off ahead or on my own he will default to me:
