Thought it might be a good idea to start a thread where we can post photos that we don't want to start a thread about, or just have one picture you want to share with DF. Post away!

Lucy, Remy, and the late Atlas (squeeee) :)

I got a spiked collar off ebay, for the purpose of irony.

At $3 AU, it was worth it for the laughs & photos.

I got him excited by the (now punctured) beach ball to get him to bark for photos.

"FEAR ME!"

"I AM SAVAGE"

"Why.are.you laughing at me!?"

"Human. Human...staaahhhpp!"

AWW! I have such a soft spot in my heart for Shepherds.

I love her face. She looks like a love bug!
She was 9 weeks, and I knew immediately when I met her at the breeder that something was off.

This was a dog that my stepfather chose for me when I was 16. I was begging for a puppy I could train and do agility with and rally O...I honestly wanted to just go to the shelter and pick out a dog. But he basically told me I needed a GSD to protect me, and that mutts aren't worth anything. I need a purebred, because then I can breed and show her if I wanted to :eyeroll:

So found this breeder, and called her. She had a litter ready to go, and there was only ONE girl (my stepfather was convinced a boy would pee in the house, so it had to be a girl) My stepfather said it was either that puppy or no puppy. I said fine (I wasn't really opposed to a GSD), and we drove 2 hours to pick her up.

The breeder got her out with a couple of her brothers and put them in in a large X-pen for me to play with. Her brothers were acting like normal puppies...They were crawling on me, biting me, etc. But she was just staring off into the distance. I couldn't really get her attention. I couldn't get her to look at me.

The first 4 months were the worst. I don't know how I potty trained her, to be honest. I could barely train her to sit. She was just so spacey and out of it. Didn't care about praise, didn't care about food, didn't care about toys. Only cared about some mysterious noise out in the distance that nobody else could hear. It wasn't until she was around 6 months old that she started to come around and bond to me.
She indeed is special, and you are special for loving her.
I'd love to see more pictures of her if and when you get a chance.;)

Thanks! I realize the pics are not great quality - they were just taken on a phone.

It's funny because a lot of people see her and immediately think she's a GSD pup. And a lot of others see collie right away.

She's made me appreciate shepherds more than I ever did. I never used to feel much connection to them but I think I had just not known any. Though she's very sheltie-ish with her vocalizations and herding behaviour.

Anyway I do feel like she was really good this weekend and wonder if the spay might have helped take some of the edge off.[/q

oH I see both Shepherd and Sheltie in her, I love her color. Like I said, she is cute, adorable, and looks like a sweetie!

I had Sam chopped at 6 mos hoping he'd calm down too, but he is still a wild man. I think going through his teenage brat period.
One day good, next day the devil horns come out.

Thanks for the enlarged pictures.;)
