Hi,
yesterday I combed my dog more thoroughly than usually i even combed her tail. She became a little mad and aggressive towards the end of the combing. While i was combing her i found a few flea dirt on her so i combed more seriously and more on the base of her tail.

She now has her tail down all the time she use to wag it all over and constantly have it up and high and curved. Now it is just limp. She also licks under her tail a lot since i got her. Is that normal?

Did i hurt her somehow? Or is she scared? Or is she sick?

You did too much at omce and she told you it was really bothering her but then you persisted so now she has some fear of you.

Get her on a once month flea topical like frontline.

Groom her for very short sessions and give her treats as you brush.

And next time she tells you she is upset give her a break.

The combing could have irritated the tip of her tail. Pet her tail bringing it upward..If she is licking her rear she may have expressed her anal glands while you combing her tail. Next time use a soft slicker brush. It will not irritate her boney tail as much...
