Hi everyone,
few days ago my 6-months sheltie got a joint RTG screening. One hip is fine, distraction index 0.3 and the other is 0.7, which means it's pretty bad with a real risk of hip dysplasia. Vet suggested limiting walks, max 30min and no jumping. Do you have any thoughts on the results? Any idea what's the usual DI for sheltie? And should I be freaked out, or maybe if we follow vet suggestions, doggie should be fine? I just want to do everything I can for her, so she has the best chance of living a long and healthy life.
However, limiting walks to 30mins seems a bit weird to me, as for now she is a fit and healthy dog.
Greetings,
Karol
