I figure this this is just playing. . . .but my 2mth old puppy bites my two year old dog like crazy! Every so often the puppy grabs hold of the older dogs lip or cheek an makes her cry! They both run after each other all day long and do this but mostly, its the pup that stirs up this commotion. In my own opinion (correct me if im wrong) Its one or the other. Either the dogs are allowed to do this or not. Is it wrong to stop the pup from this behavior? My concern is that this is not only for fun and games. We have a suspicion that this chocolate lab mix (sire unknown) may be half border collie. In which case maybe he is herding. If that be the case then I would have to stop that play all together???

thanks for the comfort lol. I just worry a little more because of the fact that hes half border collie. And ive heard the horror storys of BC nipping like crazy even when adults because of the natural "herding instinct". People dont "nip it in the butt" soon enough and have a real problem on there hands. Ill keep my eye on it like you said and seperate them when it becomes to much for roxy. . . .which usually doesnt take very long! My puggle roxy is just a wimp. She hardly hardly ever sticks up for herself :D
