My 6 month old pitty has been getting these “pimple” like things all over his body. I’m not sure if it’s acne? big bites? But he keeps getting more as weeks go by.. I haven’t taken him to the vet yet as I’m not sure how expensive it would be.. Should I be worried it and take him to the vet ? Could it be an allergy ?
He first started getting him around his mouth and now his body i’m not sure if they’re the same cause but his mouth ones have seen to be going away (attached picture of mouth is a few weeks ago)

Yes I’m not an expert, I don’t know what that is but it could be a bug bite, Parasite, or allergy. Please take him to the vet as soon as you can (I’m not a professional but something is wrong)

Edit- Also do you know why it says they have to approve my post it’s about my dog, he is sick... Is it because I’m new to the forum?

That’s honestly really weird that they need to approve it.. It could be because you’re new to the forum, i don’t remember having to get mine approved when i first joined tho

Our software holds back some posts for approval before posting. It's usually because it thinks they have spam or a suspect picture. They are always cross-checked by a moderator to confirm whether they should be approved or not; I see yours has been.

The spots on the face might be or might have been but the one on the shoulder doesn't look like it, and if the colour is showing true on my display, blue dogs often do have skin problems. Please do see a vet - it's usually cheaper to solve problems earlier, before they become more serious, than later. Vet bills are just a part of ownership that we need to accept. Look into Care Credit or a payment plan if you need to.

First off, I would email those pictures and timelines to your vet and see what he/she says about bringing him in.
Since it has been weeks, and those sores look angry, he might be in pain. Dogs are masters at hiding their pain.

Hi, I am new here, but when my dog was a pup she had the acne bumps all over her face. After a few different vet visits, we discovered that she was allergic to plastic. (Her water bowl was plastic, as were some of her toys at the time, and she would steal water bottles and try to chew them.) Of course, I would still see a vet, I just wanted to offer another idea. I hope he gets better quickly!

Welcome! Great comment. Cats often get allergic reactions from plastic bowls also - they get all this black stuff on their chins. It is recommended to use stainless steel bowls for all pets because of this.

Looks like hives on the body. He could have allergies to so many different things. Any new beds, food, laundry detergent, treats etc. He needs to see a vet. JoanneF is correct blue coated dogs tend to have more skin/ allergy problems than other colors of dogs. And Pitbulls unfortunately are over represented with skin problems.

Update: Took him to the vet and turns out he had an infection, bacteria that spread all throughout his body. He got treated with antibiotic injection, pills and a spray, He is all better now 🥰🥰.. thank you to those that commented
